Beacon Hosting Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Beacon Hosting Pty Ltd ("Beacon Hosting," "we," "us," or "our") sets forth this Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") to outline permissible and prohibited uses of our services, ensuring a secure, stable, and respectful environment for all our users.
By accessing or using Beacon Hosting's services, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Prohibited Activities
You must not use Beacon Hosting services for activities including but not limited to:
- Engaging in or promoting activities deemed illegal under Australian law.
- Attempting unauthorized access to any network, service, or data.
- Conducting, facilitating, or promoting denial-of-service attacks or other disruptive network activity.
- Sending unsolicited commercial emails, spam, or phishing communications.
- Hosting, distributing, or linking to malicious software or scripts, including viruses, worms, or trojans.
- Hosting or distributing copyrighted, pirated, or illegal software or content.
- Utilizing resources for cryptocurrency mining.
- Hosting adult, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, or hate-related content.
Warning: Beacon Hosting reserves the right to suspend or terminate services without notice or refund for violations.
2. Resource Usage
You must use resources reasonably and responsibly, including:
- Avoiding excessive or persistent high CPU usage or bandwidth consumption that negatively impacts other users.
- Not circumventing resource limits (such as RAM or storage allocations).
- Using databases (e.g., MySQL) within reasonable storage and query limits, generally capped at a 20GB soft limit unless explicitly permitted.
3. Security and Network Integrity
You must not:
- Attempt to breach security or circumvent security measures.
- Engage in port scanning, unauthorized penetration testing, or unauthorized security testing of our or others' networks.
- Host TOR nodes or proxies unless explicitly approved by Beacon Hosting.
4. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, immediately notify Beacon Hosting at [email protected]
5. Enforcement
Beacon Hosting reserves the right to monitor, investigate, and enforce this AUP strictly, including immediate suspension or termination of services without refund for violations. Serious breaches may also be reported to relevant authorities.
6. Updates and Changes
We may periodically update this AUP. Changes will be published on our website and become effective immediately upon posting. It is your responsibility to review this policy regularly.
