How to Reset the World on a Minecraft Bedrock Server

Start over with a fresh world on your Bedrock server, keeping your settings and allowlist.

Updated 1 min read

Resetting the world gives you a new map and keeps your settings, allowlist and permissions.

Reset it

  1. In Console, click Stop.
  2. Go to Backups and create a backup, in case you want the old world back.
  3. In Files, open worlds and delete the world folder (named after level-name in server.properties, by default Bedrock level).
  4. Want a different seed? Set level-seed in server.properties now.
  5. Click Start. The server generates a new world.

Tip

Instead of deleting, change level-name in server.properties to a new name. The server makes a fresh world and keeps the old one in worlds, so you can switch back later.

To wipe the whole server, not just the world, see How to Completely Reset a Bedrock Server.
