How to Use the File Manager
Browse, upload, edit, move and delete your server's files from the panel.
Files lets you work with your server's files from the browser. For large uploads, SFTP is faster: see How to Configure an SFTP Client.
Getting around
Click a folder to open it. Use the path at the top to go back up, or Search this folder to find a file by name.
Upload files
- Drag files onto the list (Drop files to upload), or click Upload.
- To fetch a file straight from the internet, open the arrow next to Upload and choose Download from a link. Paste the link and the server downloads it.
Create files and folders
Click New file, or open the arrow next to it and choose New folder.
Edit a file
Click a text file to open it in the editor. Save with Ctrl/Cmd + S.
server.propertiesopens in a form made for it..datfiles (level.dat, player data) open in an NBT editor.
Restart the server after changing configs; most are only read at startup.
Other actions
Tick files, or use the Actions menu on a file, to rename, move, copy, download, compress them into an archive, extract an archive, or delete them.
Deleted files go to the trash first, where you can Restore file to its original location.
Locked files
Team members may see files marked Locked. The server owner chose these on the Users page; they can't be changed by that member.
Warning
Stop the server before replacing world files or large mod folders. Changing them while it runs can corrupt them.
