How to Find Client Logs on Modded Minecraft Launchers
Where each launcher keeps your game's latest.log and crash reports, for fixing crashes on your computer.
Updated 1 min read
When the game crashes on your computer, its logs say why. These are different from the server's logs in the panel.
Where to find them
Every launcher keeps a logs/latest.log and a crash-reports folder inside the instance's folder.
| Launcher | How to open the instance folder |
|---|---|
| CurseForge app | Right-click the modpack → Open Folder |
| Modrinth App | Open the instance → ⋮ → Open folder |
| Prism Launcher / MultiMC | Select the instance → Folder (or right-click → Folder) |
| ATLauncher | Instances → the instance's Open Folder button |
| GDLauncher | Right-click the instance → Open folder |
| FTB App | The instance's ⋯ menu → Open folder |
| Technic Launcher | Modpack Options → Open next to the install folder |
Inside, open logs/latest.log, or the newest file in crash-reports.
Sharing a log
Logs are long. Paste the whole file into mclo.gs and share the link instead of a screenshot.
Tip
If the game can't join the server but doesn't crash, the problem is usually a mod mismatch. Check the server's mods in Package Manager match the modpack version in your launcher.
