**Dynmap** renders your world into a map you can open in a browser, with players shown live.

## 1. Add a port for the map

Dynmap runs its own small web server, which needs a port.

1. Open **Network** and click **Add Allocation**. Note the new port.

## 2. Install Dynmap

Dynmap works on Paper, Fabric and Forge.

1. In **Package Manager**, click **Browse packages**, search for **Dynmap**, and install it.
2. Package changes are queued and applied the next time the server starts, so restart it from **Console** when you're done.
3. Stop the server once it has started.

## 3. Set the port

1. In **Files**, open `plugins/dynmap/configuration.txt` (Fabric/Forge: `dynmap/configuration.txt`).
2. Find `webserver-port` and set it to the port you added.
3. Save and start the server.

## 4. Open the map

Go to `http://<your server's IP>:<the port>` in a browser. Use the IP shown on **Network**, not a domain name.

The map fills in as players explore. To render everything at once, run:

```
dynmap fullrender world
```

This uses a lot of CPU; run it when few players are online.

> **BlueMap** is a newer alternative with a 3D view. It's set up the same way, with its own port.
