## Set the world spawn

Stand where you want the spawn and run, as an operator:

```
/setworldspawn
```

Or from **Console**, with coordinates:

```
setworldspawn 100 64 -200
```

New players and players without a bed or respawn anchor appear there.

## Spawn radius

Players don't appear on the exact block; Minecraft spreads them around it. To put everyone on the exact spot:

```
gamerule spawnRadius 0
```

> [!NOTE]
> Since Minecraft 1.21.11, game rule names are written in snake_case (`keepInventory` became `keep_inventory`). On those versions, type `gamerule ` in **Console** and press **Tab** to see the exact names.

## One player's spawn

Set a player's personal respawn point:

```
spawnpoint PlayerName 100 64 -200
```

## A spawn command for players

Vanilla has no `/spawn` for players. On **Paper**, **EssentialsX** adds `/spawn` and `/setspawn`; install it from **Package Manager**.

> [!NOTE]
> Spawn protection (`spawn-protection` in `server.properties`) protects blocks around the world spawn from players who aren't operators.
