You can reset the Nether or the End on their own, for example to fight the Ender Dragon again or bring back fresh Nether terrain. Your Overworld isn't touched.

## Where the dimensions are

| Server software | Nether | End |
|---|---|---|
| Paper, Folia, Vanilla | `world_nether/DIM-1` | `world_the_end/DIM1` |
| Fabric, Forge, NeoForge | `world/DIM-1` | `world/DIM1` |

## Reset one

1. In **Console**, click **Stop**.
2. Go to **Backups** and create a backup.
3. In **Files**, delete the `DIM-1` folder (Nether) or `DIM1` folder (End) from the table above. On Paper you can delete the whole `world_nether` or `world_the_end` folder instead.
4. Click **Start**. The dimension regenerates when a player next enters it.

> [!WARNING]
> Anything built in that dimension is gone, including Nether portals' far side and End bases. Players standing in it when the server stops will appear at the same coordinates in the new terrain.

## Fighting the dragon again

Resetting the End brings the dragon back. You can also respawn it without a reset by placing four End Crystals on the exit portal.
