Resetting the world gives you a new map and keeps your settings, allowlist and permissions.

## Reset it

1. In **Console**, click **Stop**.
2. Go to **Backups** and create a backup, in case you want the old world back.
3. In **Files**, open `worlds` and delete the world folder (named after `level-name` in `server.properties`, by default `Bedrock level`).
4. Want a different seed? Set `level-seed` in `server.properties` now.
5. Click **Start**. The server generates a new world.

> [!TIP]
> Instead of deleting, change `level-name` in `server.properties` to a new name. The server makes a fresh world and keeps the old one in `worlds`, so you can switch back later.

To wipe the whole server, not just the world, see [How to Completely Reset a Bedrock Server](/knowledgebase/how-to-completely-reset-a-minecraft-bedrock-server).
