## Kick a player

A kick removes a player, but they can join again straight away.

```
kick PlayerName Spamming chat
```

The text after the name is the reason they see.

## Ban a player

```
ban PlayerName Griefing
```

They can't join again until you unban them:

```
pardon PlayerName
```

## Ban an IP address

```
ban-ip 203.0.113.5
pardon-ip 203.0.113.5
```

You can also run `ban-ip PlayerName` while they're online to ban whatever address they're on. Be careful: a shared address (a school, a family) bans everyone on it.

## Where to run these

- In **Console** in the panel (without the `/`).
- In game as an operator, with `/`.
- On the **Players** page in the sidebar, where you can see and edit the ban list.

`banlist` lists everyone banned.

> [!TIP]
> For temporary bans, mutes and a history of punishments, install a plugin such as **LiteBans** or **AdvancedBan** from **Package Manager** (Paper servers).
