# How to Earn From Referrals and Creator Codes

> Share your referral link or creator code, and earn credit or payouts when people buy with it.

You can earn when people buy a server with your link or code.

## Referrals

Every account has a referral link.

1. Log in and open [Account → Referrals](/account/referrals).
2. Copy your **Share link** and send it to friends.
3. When someone buys with your link or code, it shows as **Pending**, then **Completed** once their first payment goes through.

Referral rewards are added as **Account credit**, which comes off your own invoices.

## Creator codes (partners)

Creators and communities can become **partners**. Partners get a **creator code** their audience enters at checkout, and earn on that purchase and its renewals.

1. Open [Account → Partner](/account/partner).
2. Create a **New creator code**.
3. Track what you've earned under **Partner earnings**.

Partner earnings can go on your account as credit (with **Auto-apply credits to upcoming invoices**), or be paid out as a **Cash payout**.

## How it's counted

- The code has to be **entered on the purchase** (a referral link fills it in automatically). Without it, nobody earns.
- You can't use your own code.
- Credit and commission come back off if the payment is refunded.
