On Bedrock, commands like `/gamemode`, `/give` and `/tp` only work in game when **cheats** are on.

## From the Players page

1. Open your server and click **Players** in the sidebar.
2. If it says **Cheats are disabled**, click **Enable cheats**.
3. Restart the server from **Console**.

## In server.properties

1. Open your server and go to **Files**.
2. Click **`server.properties`** to open it in the **Minecraft Server Properties** editor.
3. Use **Search for property name...** to find the setting.
4. Turn on **`allow-cheats`**.
5. Save and restart.

## Make yourself an operator

Cheats only matter for operators. On **Players**, enter your **exact Bedrock gamertag** under **Grant operator**, or run in **Console**:

```
op "YourGamertag"
```

> [!NOTE]
> Turning cheats on in a world means it no longer earns achievements, the same as in singleplayer. Commands run in **Console** always work, with or without cheats.
