## Create the profile

1. Open the CurseForge app and choose **Minecraft**.
2. Click **Create Custom Profile** (at the top of **My Modpacks**).
3. Give it a name, and pick the **Minecraft version** and the **mod loader** (Forge, NeoForge, Fabric or Quilt).
4. Click **Create**.

## Add mods

1. Open the new profile and click **Add More Content**.
2. Search for each mod and click **Install**. The app only shows mods for your loader and version, and installs required mods for you.

Launch it once to check everything loads before you share it.

## Share it

Click the **⋮** next to **Play** and choose **Export Profile**. Send the `.zip` to friends; they import it from **Create Custom Profile** → **Import**.

## Run it on your Beacon server

Package Manager installs modpacks published on CurseForge or Modrinth. A custom profile isn't published, so set the server up by hand:

1. In **Package Manager**, install the **same loader** at the **same version** as your profile (for example Fabric for 1.21.1).
2. Install each server-side mod from **Package Manager** (**Browse packages**, search, **Install**). Skip client-only mods such as minimaps and shaders.
3. Restart the server from **Console**.

For a mod that isn't listed, see [How to Add Custom Mods](/knowledgebase/how-to-add-custom-mods-to-a-minecraft-server).
