Bedrock calls its whitelist the **allowlist**. When it's on, only players on the list can join.

## Turn it on

1. Open your server and go to **Files**.
2. Click **`server.properties`** to open it in the **Minecraft Server Properties** editor.
3. Use **Search for property name...** to find the setting.
4. Turn on **`allow-list`**.
5. Save and restart the server from **Console**.

## Add players

Run this in **Console**, with the player's **exact Xbox gamertag**. Use quotes if it has spaces:

```
allowlist add "Steve Gamer"
```

Other commands:

```
allowlist remove "Steve Gamer"
allowlist list
allowlist reload
```

## See and remove players in the panel

Open **Players** in the sidebar. The **Allowlist** column lists everyone on it, with a **Remove** button for each.

## Things to know

- Gamertags must match exactly, including spaces and capitals.
- The list is saved in `allowlist.json`. If you edit that file by hand, run `allowlist reload`.
- Operators aren't let in automatically; add them to the allowlist too.
