Some plugins and mods run their own service and need a port of their own: web maps (Dynmap, BlueMap), vote listeners (NuVotifier), or query and RCON on separate ports.

## Add a port

1. Open your server and go to **Network**.
2. Click **Add Allocation**.

The new port appears in the list. Put that number in the plugin or mod's config, then restart the server from **Console**.

Your plan includes a number of extra ports; the page shows how many you've used. When you've used them all, **Add more ports** takes you to add-ons for your service.

## Add a note

Give each port a **Custom Note** (for example "Dynmap") so you remember what it's for.

## Which services need a port?

| Service | Needs its own port? |
|---|---|
| **Geyser** (Bedrock players) | No: it can share your server's port over UDP |
| **Simple Voice Chat** | No: it can share your server's port over UDP |
| **Dynmap**, **BlueMap** | Yes |
| **NuVotifier** | Yes |
| **RCON**, **query** | Yes, if you use them |

> [!NOTE]
> Players still join on your server's main port. Extra ports are only for these other services.
