Downloading your Minecraft world from a Beacon Hosting server and opening it in singleplayer is straightforward — but the Nether and End have to be merged into the Overworld folder first, or those dimensions will not load.

Step 1: Access your server files

Log into the Beacon Hosting Control Panel and open the server you want to copy.

Open File Manager, or connect with an FTP client.

Warning

Stop the server before copying world files. Downloading a world while it is running can corrupt the save.

Step 2: Find the world folders

World folders are named after level-name in server.properties. The default is world:

  • world — Overworld
  • world_nether — Nether
  • world_the_end — End

Select those folders in File Manager and use Compress to create a .zip, then download it.

Step 3: Merge dimensions for singleplayer

Minecraft servers keep each dimension in a separate folder. Singleplayer expects one folder:

  1. Extract the zip.
  2. Open world_nether and copy the DIM-1 folder into world.
  3. Open world_the_end and copy the DIM1 folder into world.
  4. Rename world to whatever you want it called in the singleplayer list.

The Overworld folder should now contain level.dat, region, data, DIM-1, and DIM1.

Step 4: Copy it into your saves folder

Put that single folder here:

  • Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\saves
  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/saves
  • Linux: ~/.minecraft/saves

The folder you drop in must itself contain level.dat — not another folder wrapped around it.

Launch Minecraft → Singleplayer. Your world should appear in the list.

Info

Use the same Minecraft version the server was running. A version mismatch is the most common reason a copied world will not load.
