Changing the difficulty on your Minecraft server is an important way to tailor the gameplay to your preferences. Beacon Hosting makes it easy to update this setting through your server configuration.
To change the difficulty, follow these steps:

Log in to Beacon Hosting at www.beaconhosting.org/auth/login. The store at
/billing/storeis for purchasing plans, not managing servers. -
Open Your Servers and select your Minecraft server.

In the server sidebar, go to Files and open
server.properties. The Visual Editor opens by default. -
Expand Commonly used or search for
difficulty. Set it to one of these values:
peacefuleasynormalhard

Save the file.

Restart the server from Console so the change takes effect.
[WARNING] If Hardcore mode is enabled (
hardcore), Minecraft locks difficulty to hard. Create a backup from Backups before changing world settings if you want a restore point.
