How to Whitelist an Ark Server

Whitelisting lets you control who can join your Ark server, making it ideal for private communities, friends-only play, or clan-based access. With Beacon Hosting, you can enable and manage a whitelist easily from the control panel.

Step 1: Access the Server Control Panel

Log in to your Beacon Hosting Control Panel.
From the dashboard, go to your Ark server listed under My Services or use the Server Selection Page.

🔒 Step 2: Enable the Whitelist Feature

  1. Go to your server’s Startup Parameters, Configuration, or Settings tab.
  2. Look for the setting named ServerWhitelist or similar.
  3. Set this option to True or check the Enable Whitelist box (depending on UI).
  4. Save the settings.

⚠️ Enabling the whitelist will block all players not explicitly added to the whitelist.

👥 Step 3: Add Players to the Whitelist

  1. Locate the WhiteList.txt file or Whitelist Management section in your file manager or control panel.
  2. Add each player's Steam64ID on a new line.

Example:

76561198012345678
76561198087654321

🔍 You can find Steam64IDs using steamid.io.

  1. Save the file or apply changes within the control panel.

🔁 Step 4: Restart the Server

After adding players, restart your Ark server for the whitelist to take effect.
Only players listed will now be able to connect.

📌 Notes & Tips

  • You must stop the server before editing WhiteList.txt directly via file manager.
  • Double-check Steam64IDs for accuracy—mistyped entries will block players from joining.
  • You can combine whitelisting with password protection or admin-only features for added control.
