How to Reset a World on a Minecraft Bedrock Server
Resetting your Minecraft Bedrock server world with Beacon Hosting is easy and allows you to start fresh when needed. This guide outlines the process step-by-step to help you reset safely while preserving any important data.
Step 1: Back Up Your World
Before making changes, always back up your current world to avoid permanent data loss.
- Log in to the Beacon Hosting control panel.
- Open your file manager or connect via FTP.
- Locate your current world folder (typically named
world
). - Download and save a local copy to your device.
Tip: You can also zip the folder before downloading for faster transfer and easy storage.
Step 2: Delete the Existing World
To remove the old world:
- In the file manager or FTP client, go to the root directory of your Bedrock server.
- Delete the
world
folder (or whatever the name of your current world directory is).
