How to Install LuckPerms on a Minecraft Server
LuckPerms is a powerful and flexible permissions plugin that allows you to manage user and group permissions on your Minecraft server with precision. Follow this guide to install LuckPerms using your Beacon Hosting control panel.
Step 1: Access Your Server Panel
Log in to your Beacon Hosting account and navigate to your Minecraft server dashboard at beaconhosting.org/servers.
Step 2: Stop Your Server
Before uploading any new plugins, stop your server from the control panel to prevent conflicts during installation.
Step 3: Download LuckPerms
Visit the official LuckPerms website or a trusted plugin repository such as SpigotMC or Modrinth.
Download the version that matches your Minecraft server (Paper, Spigot, or Fabric).
Step 4: Upload the Plugin
Use the file manager in your Beacon Hosting panel or an FTP client to upload the LuckPerms.jar file into the /plugins folder of your Minecraft server directory.
Step 5: Start Your Server
Restart your server from the control panel. The LuckPerms plugin will load automatically on startup.
Step 6: Verify Installation
Join your Minecraft server and run:
/lp
If LuckPerms responds with its help message, the installation was successful.
