The Message of the Day (MOTD) is the text that appears under your server name in the multiplayer server list. It's a simple way to share information, branding, or fun messages with your players.

1. Log in to the Beacon Hosting Game Panel.
2. Select your Minecraft server.
3. Open the File Manager and locate the file named:

server.properties

4. Open it in the editor and find the line:

motd=Welcome to my server!

5. Replace the message after motd= with your custom message.

Example:

motd=§6Welcome to §lBeacon Hosting §r§7| Survival & Events!

6. Save the file.

7. Restart your server for the changes to take effect.

Formatting Tips

• Use § followed by a code to add color or formatting (e.g., §c = red, §l = bold).
• Don't use line breaks — MOTDs are single-line.
• Some clients may strip unsupported formatting.
